God's Blessings

WOW!! We are practically in tears. We never miss tithing to the Lord, but right we are struggling very bad like many people in the country with finances.

My mother just called me up and told me her and dad agreed to send us $1,000. We are just praising God at this time because he is always faithful. To Him be the glory!!!!!!!!!

And in Jesus name, may he always supply all your needs also according to his riches and glory.

Heart disease and sugar

I'm more and more concerned as I research heart disease how over consuming sugar effects our heart. I believe it is much more dangerous than we are aware, especially pastry, and other concentrated sweets. -- I'm trying to cut back for this healthy home. ---healthy dad.

immunizations

Immunizing children is a hot topic these days, and for some healthy homes it may be the right thing. My concern for my children and for my baby on the way is this: Will the government take away all my parental rights by forcing me to immunize my children with all the NEW vaccines? Immunizations from 20 years ago -for example, DTP, Polio Virus Vaccine, smallpox, and MMR I trust. But these days, I don't trust the pharmaceutical companies at all!!! They just scare me because they are pumping drugs and vaccinations out left and right then recalling them because they are killing people. I'm afraid it's only about money these days, not our health.

Certainly, medication saves lives, but my question is where do we draw the line? -- Healthy MOM

Tom Brady

I can't wait until the regular season starts so I can watch Tom Brady and the New England Patriots play a football game. What does that have to do with this healthy home? For me, the healthy dad it does a lot. Watching Tom Brady sit back in the pocket calm cool and collected encourages me to do the same thing when my precious children are driving me crazy, or when I'm wondering how we are going to pay our mortgage next month. The whole team seems to be calm no matter what. I love Peyton Manning, but when he is in the pocket he seems to always be dancing for his life.

Seriously though, watching a football game can be very healthy once in a while if I don't get over emotional. And lets face it, it's restful. I don't have time to watch football every week, but I love the sport and praise God for it. -- Healthy Dad
